I recently added a disclaimer to my profile. (I'm sure you all noticed this momentous event.) It is a variation on the disclaimer the University asks us to put on our personal web pages. However, I wish I was brave enough to use the disclaimer that is on
Michael Lach's blog. A part of it reads:
Opinions are the author's and not necessarily shared by the Chicago Public Schools, but they should be.
After the comments left on other people's blogs about my passion for the medium I would put that disclaimer in bold print in case you blow a gasket [sic?]. Even if it's a personal page as you point out, people will still not see the difference. What if your passion is also your profession, anyway?
ReplyDeletePassionate!? About your profession!? Don't be silly. You are obviously not spending enough time in staffrooms or in reading other teachers blogs or you'd be much more cynical. :-)
